BLIKWISSELING 2


In the Netherlands again, collaborating with students from ArtEz School of Music, Fontys University of Applies Sciences and University of Twente Interaction Design students.  This workshop used MaKey MaKey, Arduino and Processing to explore concepts in sound, image, and installation art.





LIFELONG KINDERGARTEN

An ongoing collaboration with the MIT Media Lab's Lifelong Kindergarten group to promote playful learning and creative thinking.  A lot of this work involves introducing computer programming to novice programmers and sharing unique ways of using a wide range of materials to invent and explore the world.





THE TINKERING STUDIO


My home-away-from-home, I try and visit this space at the reknowned Exploratorium every few months to work with a group of some of my oldest friends, like-minded artists and educators. These visits might last a few weeks or a few months. You can learn more about the Tinkering Studio here.





AVAM

An ongoing collaboration with the American Visionary Art Museum. I have spent time brainstorming with the museum's education department, developing a series of "tinkering" workshop and in the summer I run week-long intensive workshop for Baltimore area high school students.






SHANGHAI  ED. BUREAU


An ongoing project, I'm introducing Scratch to one of the largest school districts in China. I've lead multi-day workshops for 100+ teachers in collaboration with members of the Hong Kong LEAD project and Shanghai's Odyssey of the Mind group.






BLIKWISSELING I


Once again collaborating with Eric Rosenbaum, we developed a music workshop for students from ArtEz School of Music and University of Twente Interaction Design students.  This workshop used MaKey MaKey and Arduino to explore concepts in music.






BAHCESEHIR UNIVERSITY

An ongoing collaboration with a university's in Isyanbul, Turkey. I work with young people, school teachers, university students and university professors and in the most recent phase of the collaboration I have been helping the university develop a gaming lab.







HUGMYNDASMIDJAN


Working with local educators and artists, I designed a space for children to develop their own electronic art projects and interactive inventions. You can find more description and see some documentation at the Hugmyndasmidjan web site here.





LEAD HONG KONG


LEAD (Learning through Engineering, Art and Design) was a two year project supported by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.  A series of workshops were developed in a an effort to create a new center for creative learning. Visit the LEAD Centre web site here.
